According to Eric E. Sterling,   President of the non-profit Criminal Justice Policy Foundation and former counsel on anti-drug legislation to the U.S. House Judiciary Committee, there are currently 2.3 million Americans in jails or prisons.

Many of them are there due to drug infractions, not-with-standing crimes against the science of economics, and crimes against society.

The U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Statistics report:

In a 15 State study estimated within 3 years, 51.8% of prisoners released during the year were back in prison either because of a new crime for which they received another prison sentence, or because of a technical violation of their parole.

Seeks to provide acute assistance to inmates, ex-offenders and their families. 

Providing Pen pals with consistancy is a major goal.

We employ the help of the church, concerned individuals, organizations, and business' to join the effort in reducing recidivism and cutting the incarceration rate in half within eight years. 

Preparing inmates to become productive citizens is a daunting task that must begin 12 to 48 months prior to their release.
