      SLAVERY IN THE UNITED STATES

AND THE BEAT GOES ON

SLAVERY

They were stolen from their homes, locked in chains and taken across an ocean. And for more than 200 years, their blood and sweat would help to build the richest and most powerful nation the world has ever known.

But when slavery ended, their welcome was over. America's wealthy elite had decided it was time for them to disappear and they were not particular about how it might be done.

What you are about to see is that the plan these people set in motion 150 years ago is still being carried out today. So don't think that this is history. It is not. It is happening right here, and it's happening right now.

Of the Last Judgment

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall seperate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

I was a stranger, and ye took me not in, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

Then shall they also answer him saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment:  But the righteous into life eternal.

MATTHEW 25:31-46

A URGENT MESSAGE

TO THE CHURCH

But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evil doer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God on this behalf.

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and sinners appear?

Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly, not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive  a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder.  Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

THE CHRIST OF PETER

POETRY

Past Meets Present

Potholes for miles what a terrible ride

with the truck rocking from side to side

Accra to yester-year would my heart fail

What my eyes did see yet I dare tell

Met by two boys who'd mastered the riff

They spoke so well the mind to sift

What we had they could make no defense

Silver or gold would make no sense

To see the sundial on a warm sunny day

gave an understanding of a wicked way

Through the door we made our decent

into a dungeon a cave dug but for rent

The floor and walls all made of clay

the sun shown through the break of day

Through two holes 50 feet above

air and light gushed in only to snub

the sound of freedom ringing so loud

With lights turned off many voices rang

Men with no words yet together we sang

Fanti, Ashanti and Ibeo the like

sad, glad, grateful the fight

emotions went wild I had many to blame

to a fetish priest with libation in hand

call those who had gone I need no man

To the storehouse where chains remain

I touched yester-year with much pain

My neck, wrist, waist, and ankles

they scared not long ago

Then to a cave where my sister was held

having to bend over wasn't so swell

To hear the cry my bones did shake

yet I knew that this was no mistake

Over the doors very tall and wide

a sign spoke out 'no return'

Yet here we stood with only the marks

to step back through defied the sharks

On the waters edge we mended our nets

to do what we do to make a catch

Out the fortress built so long ago

on a sunny day never oh never to go away

Cape Coast then on the Elmina

That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

The words of Solomon

STRENGTHEN THE THINGS THAT ARE READY TO DIE

The Old, the Sick, and the Sudden, death is sure. A catagory has been reserved for all. Is there really life after death? What shall my end be?  It's not what one shows up with that carries the weight of life. The importance of what is left behind becomes the pivitol point as to what is remembered. Then what is the intrensic value of what is left behind? Is it good for the Soul? Does it lead one to acknowledge God through ones actions? Or are words spoken good enough?

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

I SHALL SPEAK TO THE WIND

Oh that my wings were ready for flight.

Within a vapor I'd take my right.

The wind to obey of days gone by,

to ride the wind I must speak.

To speak to the wind a miracle is performed

by a splendidly cool breeze.

I take my flight to currents unknown.

A bewildering ride tho I speak to the wind.

The whisper will come then I'll sprout my wings

the wind to obey that I may fly far away.

No doubt.

I shall speak to the wind.

The Brook

What does the future have in-store for me?  I'm perplexed having not

the ability to totally see.

Yet destiny is found  when my eyes are at rest.

Who tell me who could dare to contest, that where I will land has to be in the hand of the living God who can.

He who holds tomorrow holds the key of yesterday in the palm of HIS hand.

And though the road seems rocky

a rough stone becomes smooth

In The Midst of A Brook

A Road Traveled

To convey by this strange and untrodden path which we must suppose either very muddy or quite stony, troublesome to the weak and frightful to the timorous, the decent to the bottom of the river and the ascent out of it steep, so that every man must needs have his head full of care and his hands full of business, and Joshua more than any of them.

God's work of wonder ought to be kept in everlasting remembrance and means devise for preserving the memorial of them.

Joshua as chief captain must find direction about it.  When all the people had clean passed over Jordan.
